Show development
Development of the nighttime show experience, including show structure, visual moments, pacing, and the relationship between lighting, audio, projection, and effects.
Confidential project · Design & consulting
Full fall-festival design and consulting, haunted-house design, daily nighttime shows, and land-wide technical development, coordinated as one destination.
This project brings together the design of a full fall festival, its haunted attraction, and a daily nighttime entertainment program. Our work connects creative development with the technical and operating requirements across the site.
Consulting considers how guests move between lands, how attractions transition from daytime to nighttime operation, and how the team prepares and runs the event each day.
The project name, location, themed identities, renderings, and detailed layouts are withheld for confidentiality. The scope below describes our work without disclosing those details.
A recurring evening program developed alongside the festival, with show content, playback, audience areas, and daily operation considered together.
Development of the nighttime show experience, including show structure, visual moments, pacing, and the relationship between lighting, audio, projection, and effects.
Coordinated cueing and playback requirements for daily performances, including timecode, operator controls, system triggers, and the transitions between ambient operation and show mode.
Viewing areas, guest circulation, preshow preparation, system checks, show start and reset procedures, and coordination between technical and operations teams.
Sitewide planning connects each land’s atmosphere, attractions, and show elements to a coordinated technical infrastructure.
Entertainment, architectural, and pixel-lighting requirements across guest areas and attractions, including ambient looks, nighttime transitions, and synchronized show cues.
Distributed audio zones, background atmosphere, attraction playback, nighttime-show audio, and the control requirements for managing overlapping uses across the site.
Show-control architecture, lighting networks, playback systems, timecode, operator interfaces, and the connections between individual attraction systems and destination-wide control.
Coordination of equipment locations, distribution routes, utilities, backstage access, system documentation, maintenance access, and commissioning requirements.
A complete attraction experience developed within the wider festival, from the guest journey to scene-level technical requirements.
Attraction narrative, scene sequence, floor-plan development, scenic direction, sightlines, transitions, and the placement of key scare moments.
Actor positions, lighting and audio requirements, sensor triggers, effect timing, scene resets, and coordination between performance and technical systems.
Queue approach, group sizing, dispatch timing, throughput, staff positions, maintenance access, and coordination of egress requirements with the project team.
Planning the event as a whole, including the guest experience, attraction mix, supporting facilities, and seasonal operation.
Land layouts, arrival, circulation, attraction adjacencies, gathering spaces, food and retail relationships, backstage access, and phased development.
A consistent guest journey across individual lands, daytime activities, the haunted attraction, and the evening entertainment program.
Capacity, staffing, daily readiness, training, opening and closing procedures, technical support, and the handoff between daytime and nighttime operation.
Coordination of scope, budget assumptions, schedules, procurement priorities, system requirements, and the information needed by vendors and operating teams.
